Great spot with a local vibe away from the resorts. A refreshing feel of local bar and restaurant within walking distance of the Hilton and Marriott. Great bourbon and whisky selection. A nice relief of the resort pricing.

Hidden gem in an area filled with resorts and Airbnbs. The beer is always cold, service great, and the bar food is consistent. Mike and Sweetie have been our bartenders the past couple of times we’ve visited since Covid. There are some healthier options, but we go there for a solid burger, wings, and pizza.

Best Happy Hour!! Loved the cheesy bacon fries and the sliders! The sauce on the sliders was so yummy. The garlic parm fries were so good too! Amazing prices for happy hour. Had a mai tai and it was great.

This is literally the best restaurant in Waikoloa village! Their servers are very friendly! When we walked in, there was not available table and we decided to wait at the bar. The lady even gave my bf beer sample to try when he can’t decide which one to order! This is first time to hear you can try beer sample at a bar in restaurant! She is super friendly, the server who took us to table is super friendly, the guy who takes our order gave us tips about the food is super friendly! Literally the best experience I have ever had! We went back the second day for happy hour ( 2pm-5pm), the service was nice too! Come to this restaurant if you don’t want to spend 80 dollars for 2 pizza in Hilton!

We love Tropics. The staff is amazing, drinks are exceptional and the food is excellent! Best Mai Tai and Kalua Pork Nachos! Lots of options for beers, drinks and food. Crazy fun vibe when a sporting event is playing on the many TVs. We visit Tropics Ale House often on our Big Island vacations.

Sweetie was just that, super nice, great service and the poke nachos were perfect. Along with a pineapple high noon was exactly what I needed. Will definitely be back. A beautiful introduction to Kona. Mahalo 🫶🏼

One of my favorite places to eat in the Waikoloa Beach Resort area. It is near the hotel we stay at so it's easy to walk to, without needing to drive. It has a great atmosphere and great staff, which makes it a great location for dinner, even with a larger group. And the food is amazing. I had the fish and chips and it was delicious. Made with mahi mahi, the flavor was smooth and the breading was not overbearing. I would highly recommend Tropics to anyone staying in the Waikoloa Beach Resort area and I can't wait to go back for another great meal.

We had a wonderful rehearsal and welcome dinner for our son’s wedding with a party of about 25. Our tables were ready for us when we arrived and the service was friendly and amazing! We highly recommend this location if you need to host a pre-wedding dinner like we did! Our group enjoyed so many delicious meals including the Pupu Steak and Mushrooms, Mauka to Makai Tacos, Greek Salad, Mushroom Swiss Burger, and more! The view of the palm trees and golf course outside of the windows was also a treat for a large group mostly from Michigan. But honestly, the best part was the conversation with the managers and staff. Thank you Tropics Ale House!

Awesome little gem to find! Few minute walk from the Hilton and got ice cold beers half the price it cost at the hotel. Burger and pizza was delicious, best pizza I have found on the island so far! Staff were friendly and attentive, great experience all around. Will definitely go back next time I’m here.

We had an amazing experience here! The food was delicious, and the prices were very reasonable, especially for being on an island resort. We first visited for a wedding rehearsal dinner and received outstanding service. Our waiter was so friendly, engaging, and always made sure everything was perfect, checking in often to see if we needed anything. He made such a great impression on us that we came back a second time during our vacation just to see him again. Exceptional service like that is hard to find. We highly recommend this restaurant!
